Peer-to Peer-Course (Available in English and Spanish)
The Peer-to-Peer course is a FREE 10-week, experience-based program for people with any serious mental illness who wish to establish and maintain their wellness and recovery. Taught by a team of trained "mentors" who are living healthy and productive lives with mental illness, participants will learn the tools needed to take control of their own wellness and recovery. Class topics will include understanding psychiatric disorders and medication; addressing stigma, discrimination, and relationship issues; how to identify tell-tale feelings, thoughts, behaviors, or events that may warn of impending relapse; how to create your own "relapse prevention plan;" and survival skills for working with providers and the general public. Please note: You must speak with the facilitator before you are registered; leave your contact information with the Helpline and the facilitator will call you.
