Become a member of the NAMI-NYC Metro community and add your voice to our efforts to combat the stigma associated with mental illness, and advocate for better mental health services. NAMI-NYC Metro's membership community is over 1,100 strong and growing. With your membership, our voice grows that much stronger.
As a member you will:
- Receive updates about mental health programs and developments in the five boroughs;
- Have a voice in determining NAMI-NYC Metro's goals and priorities;
- Receive monthly mailings and weekly emails on local mental health advocacy, events and services, as well as newsletters from NAMI- NYC Metro and our state and national organizations;
- Have lending privileges at the Kenneth Johnson Memorial Research Library;
- Vote and have a voice in NAMI-NYC Metro board elections or referendums;
- Join a diverse community of like minded individuals acting to improve the lives of people affected by mental illness in New York City.
NAMI-NYC Metro is a grassroots education, advocacy, and support organization driven by the involvement and support of our members and volunteers. Your membership helps keep all of our programs and services free of charge and sends a message to legislators and supporters that NAMI-NYC Metro represents a unified and growing community of mental health consumers, family members, friends, and providers.
