Our Classes

Due to COVID-19, all classes are offered via Zoom.

With the unique understanding of people with lived experience – we’ve been there, where you are – our trained volunteers teach peer-led classes which provide outstanding free education, skills training, and support.

For family and friend caregivers

NAMI Family-to-Family – an 8-week class for families, partners and friends of adults with mental illness. The class facilitates a better understanding of mental illness, increases coping skills, and empowers participants to become advocates for their family members.

NAMI Basics – a 6-week class for parents and other family of children and teens who are showing signs of emotional and/or behavioral difficulties, or who have a mental health diagnosis.

NAMI Homefront – a 6-week class for families, partners, and friends of military service members and veterans experiencing a mental health challenge. The class helps these families understand those specific challenges, and improves the ability of participants to support their service member or veteran.

NAMI Family & Friends – a seminar for families, partners, and friends of adults experiencing a mental health challenge. The presentation helps people better understand mental illness, increases coping skills, and empowers participants to become advocates for their family members.

For individuals

NAMI Peer-to-Peer – open to anyone experiencing a mental health challenge. This 8-week class encourages growth, healing, and recovery among participants. We also have a course for – and taught by – people who identify as LGBTQ+.
