Classes for Family Members and Friends

Due to COVID-19, all classes are offered via Zoom.

With the unique understanding of people with lived experience – we’ve been there, where you are – our trained volunteers teach peer-led classes which provide outstanding free education, skills training, and support.

NAMI Family-to-Family – an 8-week class for families, partners, and friends of adults with mental illness. This class will give you a better understanding of mental illness, increase your coping skills, and empower you to become an advocate for your loved one.

NAMI Basics – a 6-week class for parents and caretakers of children and teens 17 and under, who are showing signs of emotional and/or behavioral difficulties, or who have a mental health diagnosis.

NAMI Homefront – a 6-week class for families, partners, and friends of military service members and veterans experiencing a mental health challenge. The class will help you understand those specific challenges, and improve your ability to support your service member or veteran.

NAMI Family & Friends – a 90-minute seminar for families, partners, and friends of adults experiencing a mental health challenge. This class will give you a better understanding of mental illness, increase your coping skills, and empower you to become an advocate for your loved one. We recommend NAMI Family-to-Family or NAMI Basics for everyone, but this is a great place to start to get some tools you can use today.
