Classes For People With A Mental Health Condition

Trained NAMI volunteers bring peer-led programs to the NAMI-NYC office and throughout the city. And we’re online too.

With the unique understanding of people with lived experience – we’ve been there, where you are – these classes provide outstanding free education, skills training, and support. And every service NAMI offers is available free of charge. Classes enrolling now!

NAMI Peer-to-Peer – an 8-week class open to anyone experiencing a mental health challenge. This class encourages your growth, healing, and recovery.  This class is also available in Spanish, NAMI Persona a Persona. We also have a course for – and taught by – people who identify as LGBTQ+.

Hope for Recovery – a one-day class that helps family members understand and support each other. This is our only program that is open to both family of adults living with mental illness and adults living with mental illness. (However, confidentiality requires that individuals from the same family are not in the same class.)
