I have always been interested in mental health and love continually learning about the brain, which led to me getting my degree in Neurobiology and working in the mental health field. Additionally, after coping with depression and anxiety for a lot of my life, I have become more and more passionate about advocating for ending the stigma and increasing access to mental health care. My involvement with NAMI-NYC started after one of my close friends lost her brother to suicide. He was a huge advocate for NAMI-NYC, so I have done two NAMIWalks and am excited to join Team NAMI-NYC Runs, all with him and his family in mind.
