Ways To Give

Every day, people come through our doors and find hope. That’s because of supporters like you. Dealing with mental illness is not easy – not for the person with the illness, nor for the people in their life who care about them. NAMI-NYC’s classes, support groups, and other services, provide hope, often for the first time. We can only continue to do that with the support of our donors.

In addition to making a donation of cash or by check, there are several other ways you can help New Yorkers affected by mental illness build better lives.

Make A Donation of Stock or Mutual Funds

The stock market may go up and down, but that doesn’t change NAMI-NYC’s unwavering commitment to serving New Yorkers with mental illness AND their families. If you own appreciated stock, consider giving it directly to NAMI-NYC. There are numerous tax benefits to giving stock.

Put NAMI-NYC In Your Will or Estate Plans

Putting NAMI-NYC in your will or estate plans is one of the most simple yet meaningful ways to demonstrate your commitment to our important programs serving New Yorkers with mental illness AND their families. If putting NAMI-NYC in your estate plans is something you have already done or are considering doing, please let us know so that we can recognize and thank you.

Please contact our Director of Development, Steve Rich, at 917-545-0845, or email below, if you have any questions. You should also discuss any estate and tax planning matters with your own financial advisor.
