All of NAMI-NYC’s programs and services moved online in mid-March of 2020. But we barely skipped a beat. We kept our operations open and available to any New Yorker who needed them. In fact, many of our programs expanded to serve even more New Yorkers.
We’re pleased to share our 2020 Impact Report. We are incredibly proud of NAMI-NYC’s staff and volunteers who helped us serve record numbers of people when New Yorkers needed us most. We are also incredibly grateful for community which helped us thrive and expand throughout 2020 and will continue to do so in the months and years ahead.
We look forward to returning to in-person programming, but we know we’re not ready for that yet and we will continue our virtual program model until it is deemed safe for us to return to our offices on Eighth Avenue. However, due to the success and popularity of our virtual model over the past year, it’s very likely that NAMI-NYC’s future will include a hybrid of some in-person and some virtual programming.
We look toward the coming year with hope, even though we know we have a lot to do. We can change people’s lives every day, and we do.
